Basic Defensive Pistol (8HR) - $350

Basic Defensive Pistol provides a thorough understanding of the handgun and aims to educate the shooter on and instill not only the 4 Universal/Cardinal Safety Rules of handling a firearm, but also the 7 Fundamentals of Marksmanship. This course will focus on building the proper foundation of firearms defense with a handgun while using the 7 Fundamentals as the cornerstone of all training and will include individual shooter assessment.

In Basic Defensive Pistol, the shooter will work on 5 main learning objectives:

Proper technique – understanding that a poor or incorrect grip can directly affect accuracy and the ability to manage recoil. Achieve a “master” grip, which should be the first and final purchase of the weapon from the holster.
